Picture Taking time is here!!!

Well, if you didn't know I am going to tell you. I have two beautiful daughters. My light Miss Alexis and I took some pictures today and she was sooo cooperative. I did have to do what I could capture her pics while she told me one of her longest stories, but it was fun and since Annelyse Scout was asleep we enjoyed the us time. Check back... more to come!!! Maybe even in something a touch more festive!

Unplanned Visit

Today while waiting to do something else that fell through we popped into the library( for 2 hours) Alexis was very excited. As I knew she would be. Annelyse Scout on the other hand... I was worried. She has a new found energy that is perfect for the park! Not so great for the library. Alexis being the great big sister that she is held her sissy's hand and led/ dragged her inside and showed her what was what! She was so proud to be showing her little sister around the library and very excited to show her where the kids get to read. She also showed her where the big kids read and that they're not old enough for those books but that she (Alexis) would be old enough sooner than Scout. Much to my amazement Annelyse Scout did great! She pulled books off the shelves for me to read to her "momma read peas" "dis book" and Alexis liked through pop up books and she made sure to ask me to keep a watchful eye on her sister who she said was too little and would rip "this special book". It was so awesome to see them "reading" to each other. I am very proud to witness their love of reading and how they both pay careful attention on the care of the books. Annelyse Scout would take a book out and try to put it back and would place it on top of the row and Alexis would quickly correct her and help. I love my girls and I am so truly blessed!!!

I can't believe Alexis is 5 it's hard to imagine now how tough of a start that little miracle had. I count my blessings everyday with her. She is absolutely amazing and touches the lives of everyone she meets and at just 5 years old! She makes me so proud everyday. She is funny, smart, caring, beautiful inside and out!!! Christmas time is upon us!!!

Tonight we put up our Christmas tree at our house. It was great fun!! Especially with the girls being old enough to help!! Alexis wanted to put every single ornament on. Annelyse was happy to put on and take off the same ornament 10 times. I can't believe how fast this years gone by!!!
