Our family in now stationed in the very BEAUTIFUL Hawaii. We do LOVE IT!! I will post some of our adventures past and the great friends we have made. BUT for now... I have to  post about, that is right you guessed it... Avery Irwin Galyon!! Our Elf made his debut this morning. (even through I almost forgot.. Courtney VC saved my butt by reminding me of the date!!)  The girls got their Princess Advent Calendar, and their Day 1 Book - The Elf on the Shelf and their very important letter from Santa!!

I love Christmas!!!!

The girls are really getting into the Elf on a Shelf fun! And so am I! I always thought that in order to do these types of activities with your kiddos you'd end up spending a small fortune. Don't get me wrong It totally can I your not careful! But with a little imagination and the Internet you don't have to spend anything Craft's now that's another story, but again if you plan ahead it's manageable. Time is another story lol but we make time even if we have to do it in section :)

Anneyse Scout is fascinated by the elf, and believes anything tha goes array that "elf did it, bad avee" she is doing well

I love my girls

My little Ballerina

Alexis has been taking ballet classes and she loves them. Focus is still an issue haha she still prances to her own music but she loves going and looks soo stinkin' cute!!
She had her first recital and it was alot of fun for Alexis and Scout both. They loved seeing the older girls and Annelyse was mesmerized by her beautiful sister.

Introducing Avery Irwin

Christmas time is so much fun! With the decorating, music, fun Christmas baking there's always something to do almost not enough time to do it in. With school I haven't been able to do the crafts with the girls that I've wanted to, but I'm hoping to catch up and spring ahead (please cross your fingers!!)

We love starting and continuing traditions with the girls. Alexis is a such a great age!! You can see her understand something and do her very best to explain it again to her "baby" sister. A super sweet sight. THe girls most favorite thing to play with so far this season is out Fisher Price Nativity set. Annelyse Scout loves playing and taking care of baby Jeeezus! Lexi will tell her that god is always watching us and Jesus is his son. Scoutie says ok and then takes the set and Lexi tells her how they have to keep everything together. Already loving how our faith and love of our savior is bringing these two special sisters closer (I maybe reading a touch into it)

We introduced our Elf on the Shelf. We had picked a name but them while reading the story to the girls I learned that it was the girls job! As I'm holding my breath because it took Jeremiah and I hours of searching anagrams and elf names (there really is a site of elf names I believe from The Lord of the rings ... Who knew) well Alexis picked a billion names and each she would say "nope that's taken" she was coming up with names of her classmates. So every time that I thought of a name I'd say t and she would shoot it down. For a while t was Skittles but when Avery was thrown out she Loved it.

Alexis had a hard time the first day completely believing in the elf but she's come around. We weren't going to force it but by the morning of the 4th she was totally into it and her enthusiasm pumped up Annelyse. It's been great fun for me!!

Our favorite time so far has been our daily Christmas book that Avery decides we should read as a family. He even wraps them for the girls to open daily.
THeres more to come Stay tuned....

Picture Taking time is here!!!

Well, if you didn't know I am going to tell you. I have two beautiful daughters. My light Miss Alexis and I took some pictures today and she was sooo cooperative. I did have to do what I could capture her pics while she told me one of her longest stories, but it was fun and since Annelyse Scout was asleep we enjoyed the us time. Check back... more to come!!! Maybe even in something a touch more festive!

Unplanned Visit

Today while waiting to do something else that fell through we popped into the library( for 2 hours) Alexis was very excited. As I knew she would be. Annelyse Scout on the other hand... I was worried. She has a new found energy that is perfect for the park! Not so great for the library. Alexis being the great big sister that she is held her sissy's hand and led/ dragged her inside and showed her what was what! She was so proud to be showing her little sister around the library and very excited to show her where the kids get to read. She also showed her where the big kids read and that they're not old enough for those books but that she (Alexis) would be old enough sooner than Scout. Much to my amazement Annelyse Scout did great! She pulled books off the shelves for me to read to her "momma read peas" "dis book" and Alexis liked through pop up books and she made sure to ask me to keep a watchful eye on her sister who she said was too little and would rip "this special book". It was so awesome to see them "reading" to each other. I am very proud to witness their love of reading and how they both pay careful attention on the care of the books. Annelyse Scout would take a book out and try to put it back and would place it on top of the row and Alexis would quickly correct her and help. I love my girls and I am so truly blessed!!!
